Excavation work at Tell Halif in southern Israel
It was carried out by the Lahav research project, which conducted extensive archaeological and ethnographic research in TellHalif and its surrounding areas in southern Israel. Special attention was paid to archaeological excavations in the Khirbet Khuweilifeh area, which was a settlement of early 20th century Bedouin and Arab farmer customers. These studies reveal the symbiotic relationship between nomadic Bedouins and their seasonal tenant neighbors on the northern edge of the Negev Desert during and after World War I. These achievements are of great significance for understanding the historical settlement patterns of the region from prehistoric times to modern times.
